Are you stuck between a rock and a hard place in your life today? are you alone and confused about which path to take? Do you feel that everything you’ve tried is not bearing fruit as it once did? What an amazing opportunity for God to take your hand and guide you.
Even when He seems far away and deaf to our pleas, persevere and do as David did. As a first step, quiet your soul down.
Psalm 62: 5-7 “My soul, be quiet before God, for from him comes my hope. He alone is my rock, my deliverance, and my high tower; nothing will shake me. I rely on God who is my deliverance and my glory; he is my strong rock, and my refuge is in God.”
When many voices are speaking in your ear, when you get pulled in many different directions, it is time to close your eyes and draw closer to Him. If you don’t hear the still small voice of God in the midst of all the noise, don’t despair. He will come through, at just the right time.
The most productive action you can take is to seek His face and His will. This is such a private endeavor that it will appear to the world as if you are doing ‘nothing’ with your life. But keep in mind that you primarily answer to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the creator of the universe. Nevertheless, be kind when responding to your family and friends inquiries.
As a 2nd step, search the Scriptures and study how other servants of God dealt with the difficulties in their life. Rare are men and women in the Scriptures who have not cried to God for deliverance, at some point in their life. As Paul instructed Timothy:
II Tim 3: 16, 17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man [and woman, us too ladies] of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.“
Reading the Bible will renew your Spirit and refocus your eyes on the essentials. The Scriptures do more than just inform us, they can transform our lives! So yield to the Spirit of God as He instructs you through your reading and meditating.
As a 3rd step, trust Him! Know that God will make a way where there seems to be no way (remember that song? hear it here). He makes the way, we don’t. He takes what seems to be impossible, and makes it happen as He did when He parted the red sea for the Israelites escaping the Egyptians.
Isaiah 43: 15, 16 “I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.” thus says the Lord, “who makes a way through the sea and path through the mighty waters.”
He fabricates circumstances out of (what appears to be) nothing to ensure our deliverance comes just at the right time. Let’s hope and pray for His timely deliverance, and discipline ourselves to only take the steps inspired by His guidance.
God bless you today and always!
